The Market in Delft with it's 120 by 50 meters is one of the largest historic market square in Europe. The square is almost rectangular and the short sides are by the New Church in the east and the town hall of Delft in the west.

The market is one of the highest located parts of the inner city of Delft. The square is regularly changed appearance over the centuries. The latest rearrangement was completed in 2004. The Statue of Hugo de Groot has been moved several times from the middle of the marketplace amongst parked cars to the side near the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) where it is now.

    1. Oh thank you Cat! Our easter was just fine. We took my MIL for a drive in the country, that she loves very much and took her to a flea market in Breda. She had a good time, and like children, if she has a good time, we have one as well...

Thank you for your kind words,
      Han
