Emotional Abuse

Know your "red flags" when you hear them. It's NOT ok, and it should be a warning sign that all red lights in your head go "Beep, beep, beep, this is not a drill, I repeat we have a red flag situation here this is not a drill" like an alarm in a submarine.

These are some of them.

  1. Those statements are definitely red flags. I wish more people would recognize them as such.

    1. Difficult to act sometimes, because of the tone it was said.

  3. Have been on the receiving end of abuse and most definitely agree that some of the statements above are red flags. However, I think some of them actually depend on the context of the conversation. Thanks for sharing, Han.

  4. I have been on the receiving end of many of those red flags, Han. The worst one was, "You're wrong." I knew I was right and never caved in with my ex-hubby.

It took longer than I had wanted to leave him due to a number of factors. I eventually did and my life has definitely improved since I left him.
