Diary

Have you kept a diary once like this girl does? I did for a while when I was in a turbulent phase in my life. It was part of therapy for my wife and me. But in the end I did not have the discipline to write in it every day, so a few years ago I opened this blog is a kind of compromise: I keep things together that have a special meaning for me and I add the landmarks in my life in it. So it add some colour to it in the form of pictures, and music and poetry and little fragments of film. All have a special meaning for me, and yet it recognize it takes a certain discipline to write in my diary.

    1. And no desire to continue where you left when you were a young girl? In a way you are doing it with your blog, although I think the contents is much different now...
How wonderful you have kept them all this time. Would LOVE to hear some quote of a none too private part though.

      Curious and romantic,

  2. I used to write in diaries growing up. Unfortunately, my mom would find them and read them.

I then kept a diary on my computer, which helped out with calling my diary private. I found that it was therapeutic and still do to this day.

Like you, blogging seems to be a cross between sharing what is on my mind and what is happening in my life. There are certain experiences and thoughts that will never appear in my blog. However, I still find it helpful when I am stressed out and have a need to write about how I feel.

    1. You know I went back some day and read all your blogs right, it's because of that combination I think that made it so interesting. I love to read the things that gives me a glimpse of how you feel, girl with the naughty name.

  3. I was never a diary writer, I did keep a gratitude journal for years but I soon stopped. I know not why.

    1. Yes you do. Know why. It's OK. I think a gratitude journal is just a wonderful way of keeping a journal. Wish you still kept it.

(In a way I am thinking I write letters when I anwer my comments, it's the reason I always sign my comments, like I would sign a letter. You know. Personal.)
