Gregory Peck

Anyone remembers Gregory Peck? Anyone seen Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn? She got an Oscar for her role in that movie. Peck got his Oscar as Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Gregory Peck died June 12th 2003, age 87.

  2. A classic - he was such a suave man. The Manchurian Candidate and The Stalking Moon, THe Yearling, Mac Arthur are some of his too, I believe.

    1. The Manchurian Candidate I only know from the Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep version. Wonderful actress to fall in love with as well, miss Streep....
The Stalking Moon does ring a bell, but I cannot remember exactly, the Yearling I watched recently late, very late at night...

Thank you for coming up with titles I (almost) forgot,

  5. I do remember him., Han I studied the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, in English class when I was in grade 10. I would have been 15 years old. Our teacher was interested in media studies, so he let us watch the movie in class after we had finished reading the book. The movie was my first introduction to Gregory Peck. I still love this novel, movie, and Peck's work.

    1. Yes, he was a likeable fellow, at least on screen, outside the screen I have no idea. You have read all the great books huh? Well Roman Holiday is probably better as a movie anyway...

How nice of you to share,
      Han

  7. I love Gregory Peck and saw both movies. And I am reading the second book, which actually should have been the first book, before "To Kill a Mockingbird" called "Go Set a Watchman". I always prefer books over movies.

    1. The book is the words with your imagination. As I have strong imagination I like the books in all, better than the motion pictures made after the book.. They destroy your image and all the nuances in the book.

But to kill a mockingbird was quite an entertaining movie...
