Rain

A friend of mine once said: "There is no such thing as bad weather conditions, only bad rain clothes."

  1. A soft gentle rain is very soothing. On the other hand, torrential downpours are very stressful.

    1. Rain has many faces, from frightening until soothing. Even if gets you cold to the bone, there is the sensation of coming home in the warmth and shower with water again, only this time your body temperature...

  2. Not a big fan of the rain, especially during the winter. I need blue sky. The rain is dark and dreary and depressing

    1. I remember my friend Natasha often said that the Dutch skies were depressing like a grey blanket. But there is nothing depressing on so many shades of grey. It is beautiful. Blue skies are pretty and light and nice and all, but clouds make the sky interesting.

Thank you for your comment, Blonde,

    1. You are a kiddo at heart, aren't you. (I cannot resist a good puddle.. LOL).
Yes, we are on the same wavelength here...

  4. I enjoy the rain once in a while...if it's a soft, general rain but thunderstorms with driving rain make me nervous. But don't give me more than a day at a time of overcast weather. My favorite is a gentle rain while the run is shining. :)

    1. A sunny kid, are you not, Cat. Cats are not fond of rain. They like the sun to lie there without moving. And then a gentle rain to cool down.

      It sounds not so bad...

  5. I like rain .
    To walk at a drizzle.
Listen to rain against a roof, sitting inside with a book, lit candle, nice music behind My back.
    Enjoyable, meditative.

    Take care, Han.

    1. You also, huh... Walking in a drizzle, just letting your mind wander and wonder about all things you see..

I have a program with sounds on my computer that helps when my tinnitus goes wild, and it's the sound of the rain against a tent... There is something that helps me focus on other things than the beep in my head...

Thank you for your comment, as always Mona Lisa,
