Dance by the River

I have been privileged to watch Riverdance several times now. It's music I cannot get enough of, I put the DVD on autorepeat and I can listen to the music alone for hours and hours. This is the opening scene. Watch it. Countless times....

  1. I saw Michael Flately in Riverdance years ago when we lived in Denver. I loved it and you're right the music is wonderful.

    1. It is truly moving music. In both ways. Moving in they way it moves you to tears and moving like you cannot hold your feet still...

I'm glad you liked it Leigh,

    1. We may like the both things, but maybe I shout and you whisper. Noisy people, the Dutch. I love the quiet voices.

You also like to hear it over and over again,
      This music is so moving,

    1. Appy, you too? It is wonderful you like it as well. All those feet tapping like one. All those pretty girls in short skirts... Al that haunting music like a flood of noise rolling so beautiful over the floor and the dancers dance on ebb and tide...

Did I say it is wonderful you like it as well?

  5. Love Riverdance. I remember the Eurovision show (we don't watch it any more) and the stunning performance outshone everything else that evening. Still gets my heart pumping.

    1. Yes, I remember that as well, vividly. The best of the evening. Ah well I still give points. To Sweden this year... LOL. Did you hear that Mona Lisa, to Sweden this year.

Do you have that too DF, you cannot keep your feel still when you hear the music. You just have to move...

      Moving piece of music,
      Han

  6. Hi Han, :) Thank you for sharing this. I have heard of it, but never seen it. Now I have seen the opening bit, thanks to you! I enjoyed it. Looks like everyone else who commented above also think highly of it. Many hugs,

    1. Never seen it, Katie? A river-virgin? How wonderful. And I am thrilled you liked it.

I have been thinking about it some and I think that all those feet move as one makes you think there is a bond between the dancers a closeness you can see in their faces.
But then again, I'm the romantic guy, remember?
