The seven deadly Sins. Why these and who said they were deadly? And why? Time to investigate.
The video is 44 minutes. I think it's worth watching.  Maybe it's way too long for you. That's OK. You decide for yourself.

Wrath (Latin, ira), also known as "rage", may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Wrath, in its purest form, presents with self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries. Wrath may persist long after the person who did another a grievous wrong is dead. Feelings of anger can manifest in different ways, including impatience, revenge, and self-destructive behaviour, such as drug abuse or suicide.

Wrath is the only sin not necessarily associated with selfishness or self-interest, although one can of course be wrathful for selfish reasons, such as jealousy (closely related to the sin of envy). Dante described vengeance as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". In its original form, the sin of wrath also encompassed anger pointed internally as well as externally.

  1. A very well done video about a very difficult topic.
Interesting allusions to history, manipulation, and as always .. knowledge of what God wants to do and not do.
Poor God must just shake his head ..

What made the strongest impression on me was that with all these strong negative feelings .. or sins .. we lose the light.
The light is for me metafora for happiness.

    Take care, Han,

    1. The video's about the mortal sins ( six more to come) give a historic view about why the sins were classified as mortal by the church. It fascinates me how there is not a word in the Bible and yet people have interpreted it through the years as a given theology.

You are right you about missing the light. Those are in the seven virtues I will post after the seven deadly sins. We will be in December by then...

      Thank you for your comment,

  2. I haven't watched all the video yet Han but what I have watched gives a very good explanation of the history to the seven deadlies. Will be interested in seeing what you share about the rest.

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. I know the video is too long. Couldn't bring myself cutting a few things out, though. If you've seen enough to make the picture in your head, it's nothing more than sensible time management.

      Glad you did watch it,
